James Provisions is a seasonal 80 seat restaurant located in Hurst (DFW area) with an airy, light filled space and open kitchen. We're passionate about creating modern, seasonal cuisine using well sourced, thoughtful ingredients from farms, farmers markets and ranchers. The environment is fun and relaxed with a collaborative, enthusiastic team who bring passion to their work.

We’re looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, personable server to work along side us. This roll requires you to be a kind, positive and problem resolving individual who likes to work as a team player with the FOH team at large. This is a fast-paced, dynamic, hybrid restaurant with counter meets full service approach. We are "all hands on deck" here which means running drinks, food and helping the team.

We stagger our FOH arrival times to maximize the tip pool which is quite high. We have beautiful outdoor patio, indoor seating, provisions, takeaway and delivery. We offer local, seasonal dishes, craft cocktails, hyper local beer and a curated wine list. Our bar program includes seasonal shrubs, house made bitters and herbal infusions. We seek enthusiastic motivated team players with a love of all things local and a passion for service. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years experience at similar restaurants, knowledge of wine, craft beers and seasonal ingredients. Interested applicants should send a resume.

DETAILS

  • - Servers earn $7.25/hr during pre/post service side work, $2.13/hr during service. Tips are estimated between $20-$30/hr. This is a tip pool that features team waiting as it's a hybrid of counter + full service. Tips are prorated based on hours in the pool and service staff (counter, servers, bartenders and hosts) participate in the pool.

  • - Schedules are set so that team members can plan accordingly. Full and part time positions are available.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Bring positive energy, warm hospitality and team working spirit to the role.

  • Maintain knowledge of food + beverage menu items and our specific standards for ordering

  • Greet and connect with every customer and help influence purchasing decisions

  • Continually grow knowledge of beverages, food and customers

  • Follow proper service and register/cash handling policies and procedures

  • Follow proper service protocols

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 Years bar experience for bartenders or 2 years of restaurant experience for servers

  • ·Positive attitude and a deep understanding of hospitality during even the busiest of time

  • Register/Cash handling experience

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment
